Fridays Devotional

Good Morning

Here is another scripture collage:

"Perfect through sufferings.

Lord Jesus, You prayed, "My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch with Me." You went a little farther and fell on Your face, and prayed, saying, "O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will." And being in agony, You prayed more earnestly. Then Your sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.…

The pains of death surrounded me, and the pangs of Sheol laid hold of me; I found trouble and sorrow. Reproach has broken my heart, and I am full of heaviness; I looked for someone to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none. Look on my right hand and see, for there is no one who acknowledges me; refuge has failed me; no one cares for my soul.

You, Jesus, were despised and rejected by men, a Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And I hid, as it were, my face from You; You were despised, and I did not esteem You.

You know suffering, my Savior—the fact that You suffered for me humbles me. You know my pains and pangs and You alone are my Refuge."
